Max Greenfield Gives a Touching Tribute to the Late Leslie Jordan

Greenfield gave a touching tribute to the late Leslie Jordan after the latter’s passing on October 24.

The two worked together on Will & Grace and have stayed close since then.

The actor shared the funny text message the American Horror Story star sent him a couple of days before he met his demise after crashing his car into the side of a building.

It all started when Jordan was denied to enter his book signing for the recently released This Book is Now a Present, at a Barnes & Noble in Los Angeles, California, on October 22.

"He tried to get in, but the event was sold out, and they didn't let him in," Greenfield told E! News. "And he texted me, and he was like, ‘I tried to get in. I saw that you was so famous they wouldn't let me in. And they turned my little ass away.'"

"And he goes, ‘But congratulations. I couldn't stay, I had to go anyway because I have important things to do,'" the text continued.

Had Greenfield seen the text immediately, he would have personally had Jordan come into the book signing. Despite the regret, he felt touched by Jordan's heartfelt message about his literary success.
