Mashle: Magic and Muscles is a parody anime set in a fantasy world where everyone can wield magic except for one person, Mash Burnedead.
This is why Mash's adoptive father, Regro, works hard to shield his only son from prying eyes.
Mash has always been different from the other kids, who have been marked by magic.
This mark emerges on random regions of people's faces and indicates that they are capable of using magic.
He is deemed unmarked because he cannot use magic. He was also left to dwell in isolation with his adoptive father.
The only thing that Mash looks forward to is the goblin creampuffs that his father gives him every time he goes to the city.
His daily life became a routine after his father decided to put him on a training regimen to improve his physical abilities in order to compensate for his inability to wield magic.
As a result, Mash grew stronger with each passing day, until he could fend for himself.
One day, Mash decided to leave the forest and sneak into the city to buy goblin creampuffs.
Despite his father's warnings, Mash believes that no harm would come to his family—that is until one shopkeeper saw that he was unmarked, not to mention how he twisted and straightened the coins with his hands!
Because of this, Mash’s identity got exposed, and the magic police, particularly Brad Coleman, started to hunt him down!
Mash’s mistake led Brad to find him and his father in their humble abode, and what better way to antagonize them than to blackmail them?
Therefore, Mash made a promise to Brad for the sake of his adoptive doting father.
Mash must enroll at the elite Easton Magic Academy, where he must become a Divine Visionary despite his inability to wield magic!
