Mary Poppins Returns: Ryan Reynolds 'Congratulates' Emily Blunt

Despite the box office being dominated by the likes of Aquaman and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse last December, Disney has been making some good profit out of Mary Poppins Returns. The movie has already made more than $200 million in the box office, and Emily Blunt has been getting some praise from her peers—particularly Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds congratulated Blunt with a photo of her with him and his wife Blake Lively:

Funnily enough, Blunt's husband John Krasinski (The Office) reacted to the post:

I have to say, going out of the film, Emily Blunt definitely delivered when it came to taking over the Mary Poppins role. She was fantastic in everything from acting to dancing and singing as well. Lin-Manuel Miranda also provided a nice "Bert" character to bounce of Blunt's Poppins character. The child actors were great, and so was the rest of the supporting cast.

If there was a weak spot in the film, I would personally say it was Meryly Streep's Topsy scene, but the movie makes up for it with fantastic numbers like Trip a Little Light Fantastic and Nowhere to Go But Up with the wonderful Angela Lansbury.

Good thing for fans of the movie, Disney is already working on a sequel, and Blunt herself has said that she wanted to return to the character. I'm just hoping they can get Julie Andrews to cameo this time around.
