Marvel’s Upcoming Disney+ Streaming Series Will Affect Films In The MCU

Earlier this week, Marvel fans learned that the live-action series that Marvel was preparing for Disney's upcoming streaming service would actually be "interwoven" into the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, word has it that these different series featuring Marvel characters that never received standalone films would actually affect the events of upcoming Marvel movies.

Speaking in an interview with Slash Film, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige decided to detail Marvel's plans for its upcoming Disney+ series, revealing how developments within the shows would actually be reflected in the MCU's different film projects as they moved forward.

"It will be MCU proper," the MCU producer said. "Sometimes it will take place as Captain Marvel did in a time before current events, sometimes it will take place during."

According to Feige, transformations that characters like Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) would undergo in their Disney+ series would actually be reflected in Marvel's films after Avengers: Endgame.

"What I will say, whatever happens in those, in those shows and with characters that have been in the films, they'll undergo transformations, not Loki necessarily," Feige elaborated, "but will undergo transformations in their series and those transformations will be reflected in their next film appearances because we've been developing long-form narrative stories for Disney+ at the exact same time that we've been developing a post-[Avengers: Endgame] MCU, we've been able to do something we've never done before, which is interwoven them from the start, from the plant."

Right now Marvel has a handful of shows confirmed for Disney+. There's one for Tom Hiddleston's Asgardian God of Mischief, Loki. There's one for both Scarlet Witch and for Paul Bettany's Vision. And there's another one for Bradley Cooper's Rocket Racoon and Vin Diesel's Groot.

There isn't any word on when these shows are going to premiere, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
