We're only a few weeks in following the official launch of Marvel's Avengers video game and the response from fans and critics alike have been quite underwhelming, to say the least. The lackluster reception can be attributed to a lot of in-game issues people have been having with the new Marvel game, stemming from the fact that it lacks a lot of special content and features. Not to mention the reducing player numbers gamers have been dealing with since they started playing.

Now, Crystal Dynamics studio head Scot Amos, the game's developer is coming out to finally address every concern from gamers. In a recent statement, Amos shared that the game will be packed with new and exciting content in the coming weeks and assured fans that they're doing everything in their power to fix, and potentially get rid of all of the issues for a better gaming experience. He said: "As such, we have a number of new content pieces coming in the weeks ahead including a totally new War Zone mission type called Tachyon Rifts, a new Outpost that's a jumping-off point for new story missions in the future, and AIM's Cloning Lab, which requires a coordinated high-level group of four players to beat with new top-end loot rewards for finishing it and in each of these updates we do tuning and bug fixing to enhance the overall experience."

Gamers and Marvel devotees alike were anticipating the game and had high hopes for the new action-adventure offering. I don't know but it's a major blow that the reception for Marvel's Avengers has been pretty lukewarm considering it's carrying the already established Avengers name and brand and one would assume that the game would at least be on par with its film counterpart but hey, updates are coming so I think they'll be able to turn things around. It isn't too late to make the game better and possibly turn it into a masterpiece. We'll see in the coming weeks.

Marvel's Avengers is now available for purchase for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
