Square Enix has decided to release more details about Marvel's Avengers, the next big video game to feature characters from, well, Marvel Comics. While we're all pretty disappointed that the game won't be making its original release date, we're more than fine with a delay as long as a quality game comes out of it. The company has since revealed pre-order details for this big video game, along with the box art we've all been waiting for.
Marvel really wants you to know that these characters are important since Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, and Iron Man are all in the cover. They aren't alone either as Ms. Marvel, aka Kamala Khan, is also front-and-center in the box art, which isn't too surprising. If the narrative has her rebuilding the team, then she more than deserves to appear here and look cool with our heroes.
We all still have mixed thoughts about Marvel's Avengers, which looks like a really fun game that happens to have an odd multiplayer-centric twist to it. Trying to mix single-player games with multiplayer can be considered ambitious but we hope this doesn't lead to the game possibly being a mess. Then again, with free updates that introduce new heroes, missions, and stories, along with microtransactions that give players cool cosmetics, it's really hard to gauge our thoughts on this game.
TLDR looks really cool and fun but appears to be hampered by forced multiplayer elements.
Fans will be able to pick up Marvel's Avengers on September 4 for the PS4, XBox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
