Marvel Will Showcase Free Comics by Black Creators on Marvel Unlimited

Are you running out of things to read during quarantine? Marvel Comics has your back. Marvel has just confirmed that they will showcase free comics from Black creators that will be available online. And although this means you could get your fill on Black Panther, Luke Cage, and Falcon titles, Marvel would like you to take time and check out Marvel's Voices.

Marvel's Voices is the big title in the heart of this month's showcase and it features the likes of Roxane Gay, Method Man, and Vita Ayala. Although it started out as a podcast initiative, Voices has now turned into an actual book. Angelique Roche, who hosted the podcast where the idea was hatched, shared how it came to be.

"The original idea for what would become Marvel's Voices started as the brainchild of my colleagues Sana Amanat and Judy Stephens as a way to spotlight people of color within the Marvel Universe on the Women of Marvel podcast, a show I now proudly co-host," Roché wrote.

"The concept began as a short segment once a month that would go in-depth with a creative of color to talk about their work, their journey and their love of Marvel. The original idea also focused strongly on any major upcoming projects the guests were working on," Roche continued.

We're loving this idea as well as the fact that several awesome titles will be available online for free. Additionally, it comes at a time when Black voices truly need to be heard.

The showcase is available online on Marvel Unlimited.
