Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Collaborator Says 'Working With Marvel Is A F*cking Nightmare'

Despite having a fun battle system, Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite has ended up being a big disappointment. From its stale roster to the ugly visuals, there's no wonder why fans moved on to better games like Tekken 7 and Dragon Ball FighterZ. It turns out fans weren't the only ones disappointed, as someone who helped with the game's marketing also expressed frustration.

In a now deleted Twitch video, competitive fighting game player Jonathan Parkes didn't have the nicest things to say about working with Marvel. Parkes went as far as to call it a "f*cking nightmare," showing that he doesn't mince words.

The fighting game enthusiast brought up how the introductory videos for Infinite were a pain to work on. Apparently, Marvel didn't want their characters to look weak to the Capcom fighters, so they made sure that none of the superheroes were victims of an attack. Marvel also wanted specific pairings, like Ryu and Hulk, Mega Man X and Iron Man, Chun-Li and Captain Marvel, the list goes on.

Here is Parkes full complaint, courtesy of PlayStation Lifestyle:

"The [Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite] character introduction videos, the ones they put on YouTube and stuff showing basic and intermediate combos, I was the one performing those combos," revealed Parkes. "I helped make those videos, and working with Marvel is a fucking nightmare. They want so many specific things in place. They wouldn't allow us to do the combos on any Marvel character because they didn't like the idea of a Capcom character beating up a Marvel character in a promotional video. So they would only allow any combos performed on a Capcom character. They [also] wanted specific pairings, they wanted Hulk paired up with Ryu."

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
