Marvel Teases Major X-Men Announcements At This Year’s SDCC

It looks like Marvel has a few major X-Men announcements ready for this year's San Diego Comic-Con International – only it has nothing to do with the mutants making their way to Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel is currently teasing major X-Men comic book announcements intended for this year's SDCC and it looks like the studio is preparing the big reveals for Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing panel at the convention. Though Marvel's little tease didn't reveal any details about what's to come, it did promise fans that "All Will Be Revealed."

Marvel made the tease on Twitter. Check it out down here:

While we can't really tell what Marvel has planned for the panel, there is a suspicion that the studio is preparing the "Dawn of X" banner for a new wave of X-Men comics set to follow the House of X and Powers of X miniseries by Jonathan Hickman.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, Hickman revealed that Marvel had plans of launching a new set of X-Men comic books.

"At the conclusion of our 12 weeks of HOX and POX, we'll be launching an entire new universe of X-books," Hickman told the publication, "Some will be traditional fare, some carry through on ideas presented in HOX and POX. Some books are completely new concepts. I, personally, will be writing the ongoing flagship X-book."

This is definitely good news for Marvel fans. Hickman is a great writer, and we're looking forward to seeing what Marvel has in store for this new banner that will present "completely new concepts" to the franchise.

House of X #1 is set to go on sale on July 24, 2019.
