Marvel Studios Set To Release 4 New Movies In Just One Year

It seems like the upcoming year is going to be a slow one for Marvel Studios since there are only two films lined up for 2020. However, things are set to get very busy in the following year. There are going to be not two, not three, but four major Marvel Cinematic Universe movies that are set to premiere in 2021.

It's an interesting move for Marvel Studios since it is only set to release two MCU films next year. We're getting Black Widow in May and it will be followed up by The Eternals in November 2020. Of course, that doesn't mean that the studio is slowing down. Marvel's first Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is also scheduled to premiere in fall that year.

However, the schedule gets hectic in 2021. It kicks off with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in February followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in May. Although Thor: Love and Thunder was set to be the third MCU film in November, it has been confirmed that Spider-Man 3 will premiere in July.

If you think those four movies are already crowding Marvel's schedule, there's still the Disney+ shows to think about. Both Wandavision and Loki will drop in Spring 2021 while What If? will premiere in summer. Then there's Hawkeye, which will air on the streaming service in fall.

We're not sure why Marvel's schedule is so hectic in 2021 but there is little doubt that fans will have a lot to look forward to that year. On the other hand, it could also mean that one of those films or shows could be delayed so stay tuned for updates on this story.
