Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Refuses To Give Advice To Lucasfilm And DC

The Marvel Cinematic Universe might be one of the biggest and most popular studio franchises in Hollywood today, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige doesn't seem to want to give any advice to his colleagues and contemporaries in the film industry.

Not because they don't deserve any help, but because Feige believes that the lessons that he's learned throughout his years as a producer won't really have the same effect on people with different circumstances.

Speaking in an interview with the Los Angeles Daily News after the recent premiere of Ant-Man and the Wasp, Feige was asked what advice he could give Lucasfilm with its Star Wars franchise and Warner Brothers with the DC Extended Universe. However, Feige refused to give out any advice of sorts, saying that circumstances could be different for these studios.

"No," Feige told the publication. "I've learned in my time being lucky enough to make movies, unless you're in the thick of it unless you're in the shoes, you don't know what's going on. Advice doesn't mean anything. Circumstances can be different everywhere, and to predict what an issue was or who's doing what . . . I'm just not the kind of person to give advice to people."

While fans would be eager to hear Feige give out some tips to Lucasfilm and DC, Feige does make a point. Circumstances are different everywhere. While Lucasfilm might be facing some difficulty with a group of fans lashing out after the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi coupled with the poor performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story, the studio already has so much planned for the franchise. The DCEU, on the other hand, might be struggling to gain a hold of its footing, but the studio has had a few successes like Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman.

Now, we can only hope for better things for the two.

Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp is currently screening in cinemas.
