There's been major (no pun intended) chatter surrounding Jonathan Majors' acting career following his involvement in a domestic dispute last month. For the uninitiated, the 33-year-old star was arrested in New York and faced multiple charges after allegedly hitting his girlfriend.
While his camp has been insisting on his innocence, many believe that his career could come to a screeching halt given the magnitude of the allegations thrown at him.
Now, this begs the question: will Marvel Studios actually pull the trigger and replace Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror? There's an ongoing movement on social media calling for him to get recast but it looks like he's staying, at least for now.
According to a report from Deadline, despite the actor's management and PR firm severing ties with him, Marvel Studios has had "zero conversations" about potentially recasting him as the Multiverse Saga's big bad.
As it stands, nothing has been set in stone and the outlet's latest report doesn't exactly mean that the actor will stick around in the billion-dollar franchise. If anything, Jonathan's MCU future will still depend on the status of the allegations he's facing.
Judging by the new developments though, we can safely say that things aren't looking all that promising for Majors' career which is a complete shame, especially considering he's been on a roll as of late.

Marvel Studios has yet to address the actor's controversies but in hindsight, keeping him on board despite the scandal he's facing is the most logical move both creatively and financially.
Of course, with Avengers 5 coming out in two years, the studio can't afford to push back its production start date. It's also worth noting that Majors is also featured in the upcoming season of Loki and a recast would be too complicated unless Marvel is willing to adjust its slate.
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is scheduled for release on May 2, 2025.
