Things are looking up for Aaron Taylor-Johnson's career and after getting a second run in the Marvel Universe as notorious Spider-Man villain Kraven the Hunter in Sony's spinoff film, the 32-year-old actor is rumored to be next in line for the coveted James Bond role, taking over from Daniel Craig who ended his storied run as the famed Agent 007 in 2021's No Time to Die.
As it stands, nothing has officially been confirmed yet and it still remains unclear whether the casting for the next James Bond actor has actually commenced. However, ATJ admits that it's an honor to even be considered for the part amidst all the speculation.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the Avengers: Age of Ultron star finally addressed the rumors linking him to the next Bond project, describing it as "flattering". Taylor-Johnson says: "It’s flattering. You can have something really positive [written about you], but you can also have something really negative that can circulate."
He continued: "You just want to stay in your lane, stay grounded, stay around the people that you love and love you back, and stay in that world. Because the moment you start believing the shit people say about you, you’ve lost your fucking mind. You’ve lost it."

Aaron isn't the first actor rumored to be attached to the next Bond project. In fact, names such as Regé-Jean Page and Idris Elba have long been rumored to be top candidates for the role although nothing official has been set in stone.
Meanwhile, Sony's Kraven the Hunter is currently slated for release on October 6, 2023.
