Tony Stark's legacy continues to play a major factor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in the coming months, Marvel Studios will introduce fans to his successor Riri Williams aka Ironheart in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Over the last couple of weeks, several promotional artworks for the anticipated MCU sequel have surfaced online, giving us our first look at Riri's Mark I suit.

Now, it looks like we won't have to wait for her standalone series to drop to see her donning her upgraded suit. Marvel just spoiled Riri's upgraded suit in the Black Panther sequel via the upcoming Titan Heroes toyline from Hasbro. I gotta say, it's actually faithful to Riri's Ironheart suit from the pages of the comics and it almost looks like a combination of her Mark II and Mark III suits. Check it out here:

Well, it's already safe to assume that the upcoming Ironheart series will pick up right after the events of Black Panther 2 instead of Marvel going the origin story route like it did for other Disney+ shows. It'll be interesting to see though how Riri factors into the MCU without the existence of Tony Stark who is basically her mentor in the comics.

I'm guessing Marvel Studios will create some sort of connection between the two because if not, it would be odd if Williams just became Tony's successor without a compelling narrative.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated for release on November 11, 2022. Meanwhile, Ironheart is expected to drop sometime in 2023.
