Marvel Finally Gives An Explanation Of The Soul Stone’s Capabilities

It's been a while since Avengers: Infinity War swept the world away when it premiered back in April and now Marvel Studios finally has a new featurette explaining just exactly what the Soul Stone can do to people.

The featurette which has somehow made its way online starts off with Wong's (Benedict Wong) short explanation of the Infinity Stones in the Avengers movie. The featurette then goes on to explain the different powers the aspect of existence controlled by all six Gems, including the Soul Stone, one of the most mysterious stones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Space Stone, the blue gem that Thanos first acquires when he kills Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in Infinity War, allows the mad Titan to travel across any dimension. The Time Stone allows the wielder to see the future and to alter the past. The Reality Stone gives its user the power to bend reality to his will. The Power Stone allows Thanos to destroy anything in his path. The Mind Stone allows him to create and alternate consciousness. And finally, we come to the Soul Stone, the Infinity Stone that allows the Mad Titan to Control life and Death.

Previously Marvel has been pretty secretive about the true powers of the Soul Stone, never really mentioning what the Infinity Stone does even in the Infinity War movie. Now, we know exactly what the Soul Stone controls, and now we know that it might be possible for the remaining Avengers to try to use the Soul Stone to restore the lives lost to Thanos' massacre in the first installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie. That, or Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and the rest of the team try to use Ant-Man's (Paul Rudd) Quantum Realm. Let's just wait and see.
