Marvel Comic Imagines Captain America With Doctor Strange’s Powers And A Magic Shield

It might sound pretty wild, but it looks like everyone's supersoldier is getting a taste of some of Doctor Strange's magical prowess in a new comic book series called Infinity Wars: Soldier Supreme.

One of a few limited comics that have spun-off out of Marvel Comic's larger Infinity Wars event, Infinity Wars: Soldier Supreme gives Marvel comic book fans a look at an alternate reality where the government not only wanted to create a super soldier but to create one who could wield mystical powers along with his strength and stamina.

CBR has a new preview page of this magical Captain America, and along with it comes one of the most interesting items in the limited series – Steve Roger's magic-based shield.

The shield looks like a blend of Captain America's iconic shield and Doctor Strange's hex and in the preview photos featured in the article, the magical shield of this version of Captain America certainly is a bang for the buck.

Sure, it might seem a bit odd to mix together Steve Rogers and the Sorcerer supreme, but seeing Captain America fight enemies left and right with magic and muscle, now that's pretty interesting. We wonder what other secret powers this version of Captain America has up his sleeve.

Infinity Wars: Soldier Supreme #1 is set for release on September 19.
