Marvel Comic Book Legend Stan Lee Finally Laid To Rest

Last week, Marvel fans were devastated to learn that Marvel comic book legend and cameo king Stan Lee had passed away after being rushed to a hospital from his Hollywood Hills home. Now, new reports say that the Marvel Comics co-creator has finally been laid to rest in a private and closed ceremony from his family.

Lee's company, POW! Entertainment, just recently posted a statement on the comic book writer, editor, and publisher's Twitter account announcing the funeral saying that his family "conducted a private closed ceremony in accordance in with his wishes." While fans would have probably wanted to attend the ceremony to pay their respects, the statement says that Lee had always insisted that he never wanted a large public funeral for himself.

Fans wishing to pay their respects to Lee can head down to the pop culture icon's tribute wall set up at this website, www.therealstanelee.com. For the past few days, Lee's fans, friends and Hollywood colleagues have been honoring the comic book legend, posting pictures of themselves together with the comic book creator or sharing stories of the different moments they've had with Lee.

Lee made such an impact not only in the comic book industry, but in pop culture as well. The Marvel Comics co-founder created so many different characters that stood the test of time, examples of which include Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men. Lee was a strong advocate of diversity, knowing that it wasn't right for people to persecute others just because these people were different.
