Marvel Celebrates Stan Lee’s Legacy With New Tribute

It's been a while since Stan Lee's passing in November, but the world still hasn't stopped mourning the death of the Marvel comic book legend. Lee's fans and peers continue to celebrate the legacy the pop culture king left behind with touching posts, videos, and all sort of tributes. Now, it looks like the most recent tribute comes from Marvel Comics, with every new issue featuring a classic "Stan's Soapbox" message from July 1967.

"Stan's Soapbox" was Stan the Man's own column, which began in 1967. The column played an important role in the Bullpen Bulletins, a news and information page that came in most of the regular monthly comic books published by Marvel. Now, Marvel Comics is bringing "Stan's Soapbox" back, allowing fans to check out his column in newer issues being published now. They can even buy a book collection every column that Lee wrote from 1967 to 1980.

Hero Initiative says that this book of "Soapbox" collections "are presented in a historical context, so you can immerse yourself in the flavor of the day and get a sense of what was happening right outside Stan's window when he penned ‘em."

It's a pretty delightful tribute. Not only does it allow fans to return to the heyday of Marvel comics, but it also allows them to go into Lee's mind, reading through poignant, informative, touching, and funny stories that all come from the Marvel comic book legend.

Lee has upcoming cameos in new MCU films like Captain Marvel which premieres on March 8, Avengers: Endgame which rolls out on April 26, and Spider-Man: Far From Home which comes swinging into cinemas on July 5.
