Marvel Brings Back Giant-Size X-Men as an Ongoing Series

The 1975's Giant-Size X-Men #1 was a game-changer since it introduced a new cast of Mutant superheroes who would eventually become some of the most well-known characters in the franchise, including Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Storm. With Marvel now celebrating the Dawn of X, Marvel comics has decided to bring back Giant-Size X-Men as an ongoing series, written by current Mutant mastermind Jonathan Hickman and a different artist per issue.

The first issue of Giant-Size X-Men will feature a team-up between Emma Frost and Jean Grey, written by Hickman and drawn by the uber-talented Russel Dauterman. It will be called Giant-Size X-Men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost #1, which should get a lot of fans talking, given the characters involved. Obviously, Jean and Emma have some history together since they both fell in love with the same X-Man, with House of X #6 showing that there's still some awkwardness between them.

Fans will probably point out how Jean is wearing a costume similar to her X-Men Red design but with green and yellow colors, similar to her current get up from X-Men #1 and from House of X. It's an interesting get-up and one that many fans will probably have mixed opinions on since her attire from X-Men Red design was pretty criticized from the fanbase.

Giant-Size X-Men: Jean Grey and Emma Frost #1 will be coming out in February 2020.
