Marvel Almost Had Thanos Go Topless in Avengers: Infinity War

He might not be as popular as Venom these days but there are definitely fans who see Thanos as "daddy" material. For a while, Thanos was trending in that sort of way and it helps that Josh Brolin voiced him since the actor has a very sexy voice. This probably won't change things for Thanos but a fan who recently purchased the Avengers: Infinity War artbook found out that the Mad Titan was almost half-naked for the movie.

As fans can see, Thanos being shirtless was one of the many designs that were optioned for the popular villain, with The Russo Brothers eventually deciding on his sleeveless look. Many still wished that he had his comic book-esque armor but the attire that was chosen for the film eventually grew on audiences. Still, looking at these designs should make fans question what would have happened if they went a different direction.

Going for a shirtless Thanos would have been a very interesting move on Marvel's part and would have raised the character's sex appeal quite a bit. Some fans might find that weird but keep in mind that there were people who were attracted to Ultron during Avengers: Age of Ultron, as odd as that sounds. Also, look at the people who find Venom hot. It's not THAT surprising.

While we probably won't get shirtless Thanos in Avengers 4, there are rumors of the Mad Titan getting a new weapon in the next MCU installment. Rumors claim that he is getting a big sword and it should spell trouble for the Avengers. Only time will tell if this is true of course so here is hoping that we get an update on that soon, via a trailer.
