Mark Ruffalo Teases Bruce Banner & Hulk's Future After Avengers 4

Fans are probably missing the Hulk after he refused to surface in Avengers: Infinity War. However, Mark Ruffalo says there's a good chance that Bruce Banner and his alter ego will get equal screentime or even square off after Avengers 4.

Ruffalo recently spoke about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in TheMarvelistspodcast. The actor admitted that he isn't allowed to reveal too much but he did share what he is hoping to see for Banner and the Hulk.

"I want to see this conflict carried out and see where that takes us and see, can they come to terms with it? Do they get a moment? I always thought it would be great to see them in some sort of subspace where they get to battle it out with Banner's brains as some sort of his own superpower, like psych weaponry or psi weaponry against Hulk's brute strength and have these two characters battle it out. I always thought that would be the ultimate comic book ending or something, opening to these characters."

Banner certainly is the Hulk's most formidable foe but this sounds like a storyline that should be reserved for the comic book hero's own standalone film. It might be unlikely that we'll see Banner and the Hulk go up against each other in Avengers 4 but there is a possibility that a Hulk movie could be in the future.

Ruffalo also has other ideas on who could go up against the Hulk. The Thor: Ragnarok star had previously admitted that he wants to see the Green Guy take on Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in a massive MCU crossover. Needless to say, we're all on board for this one.

Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
