Mark Hamill Shares Hilarious Star Wars Trivia Involving The Death Star

We all learn something new every day. Although he has yet to share any Star Wars: Episode IX spoilers, Mark Hamill recently shared some hilarious trivia about filming A New Hope.

Hamill has always enjoyed interacting with fans on his official Twitter account. When one fan asked for "any little known facts" in celebration of National Trivia Day, the Episode IX star certainly delivered. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Because of a record heatwave in England when we filmed the original #StarWars, most of the pilots wore only the top-half of their costume, attacking the Death Star wearing shorts," Hamill wrote before adding the hashtag #TrueStory.

We can't confirm whether any of this is true just yet. For now, it's difficult to stop imagining the Rebel pilots trying to save the Galaxy in shorts.

The A New Hope trivia isn't the only interesting thing that Hamill dropped on Twitter recently. The Star Wars actor also confirmed that he knows EVERYTHING about Episode IX. However, he didn't actually reveal any details on social media.

It will still be a long wait for Episode IX, especially since Disney and Lucasfilm have not yet revealed the film's official title or trailer. There have been speculations that the trailer would be released in December. Unfortunately, new reports suggest that the first footage from the sequel will be dropped in February. Hopefully, we'll get new updates later this month.

Star Wars: Episode IX is still scheduled for release on December 20.
