Mark Hamill Reveals How He Gained 6K+ Followers Who Aren't Star Wars Fans

Mark Hamill is undoubtedly best known for playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films. Most of his social media followers have been following the franchise since they were children. However, Hamill has just revealed that more than six thousand of his Twitter followers are not Star Wars fans.

The Last Jedi actor recently shared an interesting post on his Twitter account. Hamill retweeted a post from the Wolverhampton Wanderers looking back on the day he began supporting the English football team. He admitted that he actually liked the post by accident but has now become a huge Wolves fan. Take a look at the post below.

That doesn't mean that Hamill doesn't think highly of Star Wars fans. However, it's awesome to see how one little mistake led to thousands of Wolves fans to begin supporting the Star Wars: Episode IX actor. In addition to that, Hamill himself began fully supporting the football team. Needless to say, this is one accident that led to a truly happy ending.

Hamill is currently in the UK to work on Episode IX so there is a huge possibility that he could catch the Wolves' next game. The team is set for a match against Burnley FC on Sunday, September 16 at the Molineux Stadium so let's hope Hamill gets a day off to enjoy the game.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
