While Star Wars’ infamous sequel trilogy had its moments of greatness, Disney’s addition to the Skywalker Saga left a lot of fans disappointed with how the 42-year story ended. One of the biggest complaints were those about Mark Hamill’s return as Luke Skywalker, which left some fans with a sour taste in their mouths as the original hero of the franchise met his unfortunate end.
Even though the franchise’s sequel trilogy ushered in a new era of stars like John Boyega as Finn, and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Hamill was relatively disconnected from his Star Wars co-stars, only getting a single scene with the late Carrie Fisher’s Leia Organa.
A lot of the cast members of the sequel trilogy have shared their disappointments with these missed opportunities. Now, even Mark Hamill himself has offered his thoughts on the matter, lamenting that Luke Skywalker didn’t get one reunion that a lot of fans were hoping to see in the sequel trilogy.
Star Wars legend Mark Hamill shared a political parody poster from Daily Caller on Twitter, which had a picture of US President Joe Biden and a title card that read “Star Wars: The Rise of Brandon.” This poster pokes fun at how conservatives have made the anti-Biden slogan "Let's go Brandon" popular in recent weeks.
While Hamill’s post was originally posted to be a shot in the political turmoil in the USA, Hamill used it to poke fun at Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, saying that this movie could reunite him with Harrison Ford’s Han Solo.

In addition to that, Hamill was previously asked by Vanity Fair about what he would have done differently in the sequel trilogy, specifically by having both him and Harrison Ford appear together on screen.
“Now, remember, one of the plots in the earlier films was the telepathic communication between my sister and me,” Hamill said during the interview. “So I thought, Carrie will sense that Han is in danger and try to contact me. And she won’t succeed, and, in frustration, she’ll go herself. Then we’re in the situation where all three of us are together, which is one of my favorite things in the original film, when we were on the Death Star. It’s just got a fun dynamic to it."
