Mark Hamill Offers Quick Preview Of Chucky's New Voice Child's Play Reboot

People were probably hoping that Mark Hamill would offer an update on Star Wars: Episode IX when the actor teased on a special announcement on social media. However, it turned out that the Knightfall star will be providing the eerie voice of Chucky in the upcoming reboot of the horror flick Child's Play. Not surprisingly, Hamill offered a preview on what the demonic toy will sound like in the film.

Hamill shared the message he had for WonderCon attendees on his Twitter account. Needless to say, hearing Hamill's voice is enough to send shivers down your spine. Watch the video below.

It's certainly awesome that Hamill is taking on the iconic role of Chucky. In the original film, Chucky was voiced by Lord of the Rings actor Brad Dourif, who also played the serial killer Charles Lee Ray. It's still unclear if Hamill will appear in the remake as well but it's certainly something to hope for.

This isn't the first time that Hamill has lent his voice to a known villain. He is known for voicing The Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and forged a lifelong friendship with Kevin Conroy, the man who voices Bruce Wayne.

The synopsis for Child's Play reads as follows:

"The story follows a mother named Karen (Aubrey Plaza) who gives her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a toy doll, Chucky (Mark Hamill), though both aren't aware of its evil nature."

The film also stars Brian Tyree Henry and Tim Matheson. Child's Play is scheduled for release on June 21.
