Mark Hamill, Kevin Smith, And Other Hollywood Celebrities To Honor Stan Lee In Tribute Event

Last year, Marvel fans were devastated after they learned about Stan Lee's passing. The comic book legend had been such an influential man, not only in the comic book industry, but in film, television, and pop culture. Now, Lee's friends and fans are planning to gather together on Wednesday, January 30, in Hollywood to offer a tribute to Marvel's Cameo King.

Featuring speakers, art exhibits, costumes, props, musical performances, and a moment to remember the Marvel comic book legend, "Excelsior! A Celebration of the Amazing, Fantastic, Incredible & Uncanny Life of Stan Lee" will celebrate the legacy that Lee built over the years. The tribute event which will be held in the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood will be hosted by pop-culture connoisseur Kevin Smith. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the event's proceeds will be given to the Hero Initiative, a charity meant for the benefit of struggling comic book creators.

The event will start off with a red carpet arrival and then will continue inside the IMAX Theatre where Smith will moderate discussions together with Star Wars legend Mark Hamill, Deadpool comic book co-creator Rob Liefeld, Daredevil actor Vincent D'Onfrio, Wu-Tangs RZA, Batman producer Michael Uslan, and X-Men movie producer Tom DeSanto.

After the discussions, fans will get to see live performances of Lee's favorite music and poetry as well as video tributes to the pop-culture icon.

It's going to be a big night, one that would have definitely put a wide smile on Lee's face if he were still alive to see it. Lee had always loved his fans. Many remember how lively and how friendly Stan the Man was during events, taking time to interact one by one with his fanbase.

Now, fans are getting ready to return all of that love.
