With Henry Cavill rumored to return as Superman in future DC comics movies, some fans have been speculating at the possibility of a Man of Steel sequel. While Warner Bros. has no plans to make a second movie yet, a new rumor suggests this is "erroneous" and even has the possibility for actor Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam to be featured.

According to scooper Mikey Sutton (via Lords of the Long Box), AT&T has "growing interest" of a Man of Steel sequel. The company allegedly sees the Snyder Cut as an "explosive promotional vehicle" for the sequel to move forward. "AT&T has strong faith in the Snyder Cut living up to the hype," the rumor says. "The social media response from the fans has them thrilled about how they can expand the franchise."

Sutton claims director J.J. Abrams taking on Superman is still up in the air and whatever involvement he has theatrically "will have to be under some sort of compromises or perhaps none at all." "The perception of the Snyder Cut will be where the final decisions are made," he adds.

The scooper also noted that Cavill back as Superman is "looking bright" considering that Johnson is involved with Black Adam. While the former was previously rumored for Black Adam movies, Johnson is said to at least cameo in Man of Steel 2, should it move forward.
