Magic: The Gathering Manga Comes With A New Promo Card


The promo was revealed on MTG Japan's Twitter, and it's a foil Japanese "Duress" card with the original art: Check it out:There's a Japanese manga about Magic: The Gathering called Jinsei wo Hakai Suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai (Destroy All Humankind. They Can't Be Regenerated), and it recently revealed a new MTG promo card that it's offering with the purchase of the manga's third volume.

The "Duress" promo will come with the third volume of Destroy All Humankind. They Can't Be Regenerated, which will be released on November 26, 2019. It will be available on Amazon Japan.

Considering when the story of the manga is set and what the protagonist's favorite MTG color is, the promo was going to be either this "Duress" card or "Corrupt".

For those who are not familiar, the Destroy All Humankind manga series by Yokota Takuma and Ise Katsura features old school Magic cards from the 90's. The "youth graffiti" MTG-themed manga centers on two Magic: The Gathering players in the 1990s, and in the latest chapter, we see the badass female protagonist named Emi-Chan battle an opponent who runs mostly green insect cards like "Spike Hatcher", "Eldamri's Graveyard", and "Oath of Druids" while Emi-Chan plays white cards like "Tithe", "Cloudchaser Eagle", and "Empyrial Armor".
