Magic: The Gathering'sCommander 2018 decks will be released next month yet surprisingly, Wizards of the Coast has only revealed a few details about the products. Last week, the company revealed some artwork and themes for the Commander 2018, giving us an idea about the decks' color combinations: Izzet (Blue-Red) Artifacts "Exquisite Invention", Jund (Black-Red-Green) Lands "Nature's Vengeance", Bant (White-Blue-Green) Enchantments "Adaptive Enchantment", and Esper (White-Blue-Black) Top of Library Matters "Subjective Reality". However, the Commanders for those decks haven't been revealed yet, but it sounds like Magic head designer Mark Rosewater leaked the identity of one of them.

When a fan asked him about Windgrace's color identity, Rosewater responded on his Blogatog page, "It matches his Commander 2018 deck", so if he's not fooling around, Windgrace will be one of the Commanders.

Though we haven't seen Windgrace in a Magic card before, he's been referenced in the Timespiral novel by Scott McGough and a couple of cards from Dominaria, Windgrace Acolyte and Ariel, Knight of Windgrace. Windgrace is a cat warrior from Urborg, and he's one of the nine Titans that Urza gathered to battle Phyrexia. Since Windgrace is known to have black and white in his color identity, he will most likely be the Commander for the Esper Commander 2018 deck, and his card will probably be in Planeswalker form. Saheeli will probably be a Commander for the Izzet deck, Elspeth for the Enchantment deck, and some other person for Jund. Some Redditors are even saying that Windgrace could be the Jund Commander but I think he's the Esper one even though it's unclear how his character fits with the blue color identity.

What do you think? If Rosewater is actually serious and Windgrace is one of the Commanders of Commander 2018 decks, do you think he will be the Commander for Esper or Jund? Or maybe Bant? Who do you think are the other Commanders?

Commander 2018 will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish on August 10, 2018. The U.S. MSRP price is $39.99.
