In an interesting bit of news, Ron Cephas Jones of Luke Cage fame is going to be a part of the Venom cast. Sony didn't reveal who the character will be so we are going to have to wait until October to see what kind of role he will play. Right now, it's hard to speculate what Jones will bring to the table but Luke Cage fans should be happy seeing him here.
Jones played a prominent role in Netflix's Luke Cage series as the character Bobby Fish. A friend of the bulletproof here, he did his part to make Harlem a better place for everyone and is fondly remembered by those that enjoyed the series. Obviously, he won't be reprising his role as Fish for this movie so it will be interesting to see who his character is.
The Venom comics aren't particularly well-known for their supporting characters, so trying to pin down who Jones will play is going to be difficult. Some fans might be lazy and assume he will be Carnage, something we've done for pretty much every male actor cast for the movie aside from Tom Hardy. Only time will tell.
Venom comes to theaters on October 5.
