Reacher Season 2 is based on Lee Child's Bad Luck and Trouble novel from the Jack Reacher book series. Lee Child was the pen name of Jim Grant, a British author. Let's get to know who Luke Bilyk plays in the series.
Is Luke Bilyk in Reacher? What is His Role?
Luke Bilyk is in Reacher Season 2 as Major Calvin Franz. In the novel, Reacher chose Franz to join him in the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit of the US Army. Throughout his 13 years in the Army, Franz has always been considered an equal to Reacher. After military service, he went into Private Investigation as he worked in Los Angeles.
Although Franz is smaller than Reacher, he is described as a large man with a weight of 210 lbs. In the book, Reacher likened Franz to a caveman since he had short legs that contrasted his powerful upper body.
The book, Bad Luck and Trouble, opens with a portrayal of how Franz dies. He was thrown out of a helicopter that was flying over the Mojave desert. Because of this, Reacher reunites with the other Special Investigations Unit members to avenge him.
Frances Neagley (played by Maria Sten) recruits Reacher to help figure out what happened to Franz. After all, this wasn't the only murder that happened within their former unit.
Together with Neagley, Reacher reconnects with Karla Dixon (played by Serinda Swan) and David O'Donnell (played by Shaun Sipos).
Who is Luke Bilyk?
Luke Bilyk is a 29-year-old Canadian actor who is best known for his role as Drew Torres in the CTV series, Degrassi: The Next Generation. He was also in The CW's Legends of Tomorrow as Elvis and Jesse Presley. His other characters include John Servinis (Kiss and Cry) and TJ (F the Prom).
Although Bilyk was born in North York, Ontario, his descent is of Italian, Ukrainian, Jewish, and German. He has three older sisters.
When he was young, he attended high school at Thornhill's St. Elizabeth Catholic High School. He was part of the school's Regional Arts Program for Drama, indicating his interest in the craft.
