Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Episode 1 Recap
The episode kicks off in college student Amamiya Yuuhi’s room. One morning, he encounters a talking lizard knight in his bed named Sir Neu Crescent. According to the lizard, Yuuhi is a knight chosen to protect the princess and save the world from its untimely destruction.
However, Yuuhi doesn’t believe any of the lizard’s words. Instead, he throws him out of his room and pretends not to hear anything. Surprisingly, the lizard is back in his room once again to talk things through.
Yuuhi fell off his bike on his way to school because of the talking lizard. He believes he has been hallucinating as a result of the stress of university. Unfortunately, the lizard is actually speaking to him, but no one else can see it except Yuuhi.
Yuuhi sees his teacher, the young genius Asahina Hisame, at school. She informs Yuuhi of his report deadline, which he has been missing for quite some time. Instead of apologizing for his report, Yuuhi told Hisame about his encounter with the talking lizard.
Hisame, in turn, advised Yuuhi to consult a psychiatrist or a neurologist about the lizard ghost.
During his break, the talking lizard tells Yuuhi about his power. He appears to be able to create a holding field in which he can use telekinesis on anything within it. To test his powers, Yuuhi pervertedly whisked Hisame's skirt, much to the chagrin of the latter.
On his way home, the talking lizard tries to persuade Yuuhi to agree to his proposal. However, Yuuhi lacks motivation to fight alongside the others to save the world. He not only lacks trust in others, but he also recalls his grandfather's words about trust and betrayal.
Yuuhi was saved by his neighbor, Asahina Samidare, during an encounter with a golem beast. The lizard claims that Samidare is the princess Yuuhi must protect because the Lady Anima is sleeping in her body.
Yuuhi and Samidare end up meeting the enraged Hisame on their way home. It turns out that Samidare is Hisame’s younger sister.
Yuuhi was saved by his neighbor, Asahina Samidare, during an encounter with a golem beast. The lizard claims that Samidare is the princess Yuuhi must protect because Lady Anima is sleeping in her body.
Yuuhi and Samidare end up meeting the enraged Hisame on their way home. Samidare is Hisame's younger sister, it turns out.
In any case, Yuuhi is still unwilling to fight. To motivate him, the lizard tells him about a single wish Yuuhi can have if he decides to assist him. However, Yuuhi only wants to return to his boring and peaceful life.
The next day, Yuuhi found himself on the rooftop with Samidare. When Samidare jumps from the rooftop on purpose, everything changes. This caused Yuuhi to change his mind and rush to save Samidare by using his holding field.
Samidare successfully recruits Yuuhi as his knight before the episode ends. She talked him out of his comfort zone, and they decided to put their trust in each other to save the world from the mage's oppression.
