The MandoVerse is undoubtedly a breath of fresh air for fans of the Star Wars franchise. After the sequel trilogy failed to hit the mark with longtime followers, the beloved science fiction property was seemingly on the brink of extinction until The Mandalorian made its game-changing debut.

Now, the show that jumpstarted the MandoVerse is set to make its grand crossover to the big screen, and while we still don't know what to expect in the project helmed by Dave Filoni, rumors are beginning to circulate all over the internet, offering fans some insight regarding the film.

Turns out, the project will continue the MandoVerse's tradition of bringing familiar faces back to the franchise, a trend that Luke Skywalker and Boba Fett started in The Mandalorian's second season.

According to a recent report from Giant Freakin Robot, Dave Filoni's yet-to-be-titled Star Wars film will not only include existing characters from the MandoVerse but several legacy characters as well, including Han Solo and Leia Organa.

Alden Ehrenreich, who made his debut in 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story is said to reprise his role while Leia is expected to be played by a new actor instead of Lucasfilm going the CGI route ala Rogue One.

As it stands, key details about their rumored involvement have not been disclosed. Nothing has been officially confirmed as well so it's still best to temper your expectations.

When you think about it, the idea of Han and Leia making appearances in Filoni's MandoVerse film doesn't sound too farfetched at all because, of course, both characters are still alive during the said time period.

It's also worth noting that both characters, along with Luke Skywalker appear in Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire, and if you've been following the latest rumors, the MandoVerse movie is reportedly based on the iconic Star Wars novel.
