Lucasfilm Reveals Star Wars: Dark Legends Art


Star Wars fans are getting a brand new book from writer George Mann and artist Grant Griffin, and it looks like this follow-up to Star Wars: Myths and Fables is going to offer fans the spookiest and darkest stories from the galaxy far, far away.

Lucasfilm announced the arrival of Star Wars: Dark Legends on the official Star Wars website today, sharing brand new paintings from the upcoming title. Set for release sometime in July this year, Dark Legends presents seven new fables. While the book is much like Star Wars: Myths and Fables, the new title focuses on darker and more frightening Star Wars stories.

Lucasfilm is certainly trying its best to satiate the Star Wars fanbase's hunger for new material. Now that the Skywalker saga has come to an end with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans are eager to know what Lucasfilm has in store for the galaxy far, far away.

Aside from the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Star Wars fans aren't expecting much from the franchise this year. Lucasfilm hasn't really lined up that much material for 2020. All eyes are on the years to come though. The studio has yet to announce its official plans for the Star Wars film franchise. What's going to become of Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson's promised trilogy? What Star Wars movie is Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige working on? How about the film promised to Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi?

Guess fans have to keep their eyes peeled for new information from Lucasfilm. In the meantime, fans can enjoy Dark Legends which is set to hit shelves on July 28, 2020.
