Lucasfilm Finally Announces The Dates For Star Wars Celebration Anaheim

It looks like we finally have dates for this year's Star Wars Celebration.

Lucasfilm just announced the dates for the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim (via Screen Rant), revealing that the Star Wars convention is set to run from August 27 to August 30 at the Anaheim Convention Center. This is definitely big news. Lucasfilm started campaigning for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker earlier this year, however we have yet to see a full trailer for the film.

Knowing the studio's past campaign schedule, it's very likely that Lucasfilm will drop the first full trailer for The Rise of Skywalker during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. Don't forget about all the major panel announcements that come along with the even too.

Tickets for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim are set to go on sale next Friday, June 21. Right now there's no word on specific panels, however Lucasfilm's release announcement says that "major announcements, immersive exhibits, and an interactive show floor" are to be expected at the convention.

Aside from news regarding The Rise of Skywalker, Lucasfilm is expected to make other major announcements during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. We're hoping to get updates on the studio's upcoming live-action series for Disney+. First off there's Jon Favreau's new series starring Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian. Set in between the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans are going to follow the adventures of a lone warrior in the outer rim of the galaxy far, far away.

Lucasfilm also has a Rogue One prequel geared up for Disney+ too, bringing back Diego Luna's Captain Cassian Andor and Alan Tudyk's K2S0.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to premiere on December 20, 2019.
