Who is Matthew Duliba from Love is Blind Season 6?

Not to be confused with Matthew Barnett from the first season of Love is Blind, this season's Matthew is a 37-year-old senior financial advisor who Netflix says is "emotionally guarded" with his past relationships.

In the show, he spoke about seeing a psychologist and feeling scared talking to a lot of people in a show like Love is Blind.

But in his interview with Netflix, he says that he wants to meet an "intelligent, caring, considerate, hardworking, and driven" woman who can tear his walls down.

This led him to pair with Amber Desiree "AD" Smith and Amber Grant in the pods.

When the pods opened, Matthew Duliba was pretty stiff to the women. He prepared a series of questions for the women and asked them a question based on a number they picked.

When the woman would throw back the question at him, he would dodge the question and be disinterested right away. At one point, he even walked out on a woman while she was answering his question.

So when he met AD, it seemed like the perfect pairing. While the two were opposites (he's a country boy, she's a city girl), their instant connection was undeniable.

The other women in the pods even felt amazed that someone actually got matched with Matthew, despite his stiff personality.

Avid fans of the show were rooting for AD and Matthew. In fact, we were already hoping he would get on one knee and propose to her. AD seemed head over heels for Matthew during their date. After all, he was talking to her about proposing right then and there and leaving the show together.

Unfortunately, these were the same things Matthew told another girl, Amber. Matthew told AD these things the night before. In the women's quarters the next morning, Amber told her friends about her recent date with Matthew.

To AD's surprise, Amber blurt out the same things Matthew previously told her-- stuff about asking her dad's permission to get married, leaving the show together, and getting hitched.

This did not sit well with AD and she confronted Matthew about it. Shocked that she found out, Matthew made up excuses that he did not get too deep with Amber.

When AD left the pod, she confronted Amber about what happened. This revelation shocked Amber, who hugged AD and apologized. After that, Amber decided to leave the show.

AD then talked to Matthew once again and ultimately decided that she was not interested in him at all. When Matthew learned that Amber had left, he was devastated yet continued to talk to AD about how he felt for her.

Matthew then talked about getting the sympathy of "the entire country of America" since they "love a good underdog and comebacks." This was contradictory since he previously said he was not on the show to "become a C-list celebrity."

Before leaving, Matthew said that he was done and that he would go get Amber.

Why Didn't the Guys Like Matthew, Too?

In addition to getting on the wrong side of the women, Matthew wasn't particularly close with any of the men. They found him weird since he was aloof and did not really interact with the others.

One of the men who did not like Matthew was Clay, but it was probably because they both liked AD. When Clay found out AD had a connection with Matthew, he warned her that she would regret her decision.

Aside from Matthew's toxic behavior, it was a huge red flag that the other men did not connect with him as well. Matthew left a bad impression on them since he refused to talk to them. He was also rude to them several times.

Meanwhile, Amber has not yet reacted to Matthew's departing message from the show. She has been active on her Instagram account, where she appears to be single and having fun with her friends and colleagues.

Epicstream has sent a request for comment to Amber on whether she has gotten in contact with any members of the show.
