It has been a long time since we got any updates on Love, Death and Robots but it looks like the anthology series will be back very soon. A new teaser for the Netflix show's Season 3 has just been dropped and it confirms that the third season will be released next month!

The new Love, Death and Robots Season 3 teaser opens with a nod to Netflix's award-winning shows The Crown and The Queen's Gambit before declaring that the animated series is an "11 time Emmy Award-winning problem child." Viewers are then treated to some of the highlights from the first and second seasons of the show.

There isn't a lot of new footage in the teaser but the official Netflix Geeked Twitter account also shared stills from Love, Death and Robots Season 3. Based on the images, we'll be meeting new (and possibly tragic) characters in the third season. However, it looks like the robots from the Season 1 episode Three Robots will be back this May. Hopefully, we'll get to learn if K-VRC and his two companions managed to co-exist with the cats on Earth.

Love, Death and Robots is produced by Tim Miller, Joshua Donen, David Fincher and Jennifer Miller. The anthology series is a reimagining of the 1981 animated science fiction film Heavy Metal and each season consists of standalone episodes that are usually less than 20 minutes long. The first season consist of 18 episodes while Season 2 only had eight episodes. Although it has not yet been confirmed, the third season is believed to consist of eight episodes as well. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Love Death and Robots Season 3 will premiere on Netflix on May 20, 2022.
