Loki will ‘Struggle with Identity’ in the Disney+ Series

While production may have been halted for Disney+'s Loki, everyone is still excited for the show and eager to find out what's in store for the god of mischief. What's interesting is, the show is apparently going to have Loki struggling with his identity.

Talking to Forever Dogs Podcast(via The Direct), Loki showrunner Michael Waldron explains:

"I think it's the struggle with identity, who you are, who you want to be. I'm really drawn to characters who are fighting for control. Certainly you see that with Loki over the first 10 years of movies, he's out of control at pivotal parts of his life, he was adopted and everything and that manifest itself through anger and spite towards his family."

Loki has always been a character that's morally gray, and when he dies in Infinity War, he's ultimately on the side of good. With this show said to be focusing on the Loki that escapes with the Tesseract in Endgame, we're going to start with a character that is a full-on villain, and the struggle about who he is truly is going to be interesting to watch unfold.

Maybe he finds out about his alternate self's actions? Maybe he runs into the main timeline's Thor and gets a pep-talk from him? Either way, it's going to be interesting really delving into the character, seeing as he's not just a solid shade of good or bad.

Loki is originally set to come out in the spring of 2021, but with production halted, we could be looking at a delay.
