Loki Star Opens up About Replacing Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who

There is little doubt that Sophia Di Martino is one of the biggest names right now, thanks to her awesome portrayal of Sylvie in Loki. But is it possible that the In The Badlands star might be crossing over to another major TV show? Di Martino has just addressed the possibility of replacing Jodie Whittaker in the next season of Doctor Who.

There have been speculations that Whittaker will be leaving Doctor Who after the upcoming season. Although people were initially surprised, this also led to fans making assumptions about who could take over as the Fourteenth Doctor.

Not surprisingly, Di Martino is one of the favorites who could play the next reincarnation of the Time Lord. After all, the easy rapport between her and Tom Hiddleston in Loki Episode 3 had people making Doctor Who comparisons.

Di Martino herself understands what Whovians are talking about, stating that Loki and Sylvie were "each other's Companion!" But would she be ready to play the Doctor herself in the BBC series?

"I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. But I haven't really given it much thought, to be honest. I haven't read any of that stuff," Di Martino told Radio Times. "It's exciting, though. I just like that people, you know, have all these theories, and are being inspired by Loki. It's great to watch."
