Logan Actress Dafne Keen on Her Future as X-23 in the MCU

Hugh Jackman might insist on staying retired as Wolverine after his painful swan song in Logan, however, his co-star Dafne Keen, is pretty open to reprising her role as X-23 if she's ever given the opportunity.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com to talk about her future in the comic book movie industry, the young actress admitted that she would "100 percent" want to play Laura Kinney again, this time, maybe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"Yes, definitely," Keen told the entertainment news outlet when asked about whether she'd be interested to reprise her mutant role as X-23, "100 percent."

We would definitely want to see Keen in the MCU too. The young actress did an exceptional job of portraying Laura Kinney in Logan. Her portrayal of the young mutant drew critical acclaim, many praising her for her ferocity and for her remarkable skills as an actress.

Logan director James Mangold had nothing but praise for Keen, naming her an essential part of the film.

"There's no way this film works w/o the remarkable Daphne Keen. By the film's 2nd half, the tables have turned & she is carrying the entire movie as Logan has retreated in sickness & self-doubt. & of course, she holds the final frame," Mangold wrote in a tweet during a Logan watch party.

Marvel has every opportunity to use Keen now that Disney's acquired the X-Men rights, thanks to the company's acquisition of 21st Century Fox. We'll just have to wait and see what the studio decides to do with the mutant heroes that it's gained.

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe begins when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
