Lizzo and Jack Black Break Silence on Their Surprise Mandalorian Cameo

To the surprise of many Star Wars fans, Grammy-winning singer Lizzo and beloved actor-comedian Jack Black made cameo appearances in the recent episode of The Mandalorian. They played the leaders of the independent planet Plazir-15 who asked Din and Bo-Katan to investigate the series of malfunctioning droids.

We know that the series is not prone to surprise guest appearances of well-known actors, but it was still a huge shock that they were able to nab the two artists to show up in the series, especially since their appearances were not even leaked to the public in advance.

Hours after the episode became available on Disney+, Black and Lizzo took to their respective social media accounts and addressed their surprise cameo appearances in the recent episode of The Mandalorian where they shared their excitement about being part of the Star Wars universe.

Lizzo celebrated her appearance in the series on Twitter by posting a photo of herself surrounded by different action figures of Grogu along with the caption, "I’m in Star Wars YALL!"

She also responded to a tweet that was posted last February that manifested her Star Wars appearance with multiple eyes emoji.

Meanwhile, Black posted behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram where he is posing with Lizzo and expressed his excitement about working with her. "So fun working with @lizzobeeating on @themandalorian as the king and queen of Plazir-15!!!," he wrote in his caption.

The responses to their cameo appearances online have been mixed as some fans were delighted by their surprise cameo while there are also some who were also baffled that they popped into the series out of nowhere. Besides them, veteran actor Christopher Lloyd also guest-starred in the episode.

With Lizzo and Black's cameo appearances in the series, all bets are off now on who we might see show up in the last two episodes. There is also a possibility that they are the only surprise guest stars this season and the last two will dedicate to simply addressing the season's main storylines. Let's just wait and see how it all unfolds.
