The Quintessential Quintuplets’ story may be over, but fans of the series are still being treated to new merch, with the latest being this life-sized series of Quintessential Quintuplets dolls.

Recently, Japanese video game and toy company Taito unveiled a new line of stuffed toys that are “super-large.”

That’s not an exaggeration though, as these dolls are about as large (or even larger) than your average person.

This makes them the perfect companion for fans who think having an anime body pillow is not enough.

The harem romantic comedy genre is a popular one as there have been lots of these kinds of anime over the years. Though it’s fair to say that The Quintessential Quintuplets is among the most popular in recent years.

Having started as a manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine, the series received an anime adaptation in 2019, with a second season following in 2021.

While a third season wasn’t made, an anime movie was released last year that gave the series a definitive ending.

The movie was screened in Japan in May, with a limited US release following in December.

As with most harem anime, the ending proved to be a divisive one. After all, there are five potential romantic partners but only one winner.

Without spoiling who ended up together with the protagonist Futaro, it’s fair to say that many fans are still salty about it to this day.

Despite the controversial end, The Quintessential Quintuplets is still popular, with lots of promo illustrations and merch still being released.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Life-Sized Dolls Revealed

For the most dedicated fans of the series, this new line of life-sized dolls is the perfect match -- that is if they have a large enough space for it (and a deep enough wallet).

Specifically, each doll has a height of nearly 40 inches as they are in a sitting position.

Weirdly though, not all five girls have a doll as only Ichika, Nino, and Miku have life-sized plushies available.

But given the series’ popularity, Yotsuba and Itsuki dolls are likely going to be released soon.

Quintuplets isn’t the only anime to get these huge dolls though as there are also ones for Demon Slayer as well as Touhou.

If you want to pre-order one, you’ll have to shell out serious cash as each stuffed toy is priced at JPY 66,000 (around USD 500).

Pre-orders are open until May 22 on the official web store, though each plushie is limited to just 100 orders.
