Liam Neeson Joins Thor: Ragnarok Stars in Men in Black Reboot

Sony's upcoming Men in Black spinoff - which might be seen as a reboot to some - has got some great star power in Thor: Ragnarok leads Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. The two were a pretty badass duo during Ragnarok, so one can assume that they will be just as fun in this new movie. It looks like that star power is about to go up though, as it was recently revealed that Liam Neeson is in talks to join the cast.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Taken star will be the head of the Men in Black organization if he decides to sign on. Hemsworth and Thompson will be two agents but will not be playing the same characters from the original. Instead, they will be all-new characters and this film is expected to be in the same universe where Will Smith's Agent J and Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K existed.

The Men in Black franchise has been in limbo since the third film was released a few years ago. Previous rumors suggested a ridiculous crossover with 21 Jump Street, which would be hard to imagine. Considering how the series hasn't been big since the first film, this soft-reboot is the best way to go right now.

Sony confirmed that the film will be coming out on June 14, 2019.
