Lee Je Hoon has been tapped to lead the MBC Kdrama, Chief Inspector 1963.
Lee Je Hoon's career has been blooming in the past years since he made his TV debut in the 2010 Three Sisters. Among his most popular flicks, his appearance in the Taxi Driver franchise remains the most notable role he has.
Following the franchise's success, the actor will be part of another TV franchise.

Lee Je Hoon To Star in Chief Inspector Prequel
MBC (via JTBC) confirmed on Monday that Lee Je Hoon would be part of the Chief Inspector prequel, Chief Inspector 1963 (working title).
It will focus on the events that happened in the 1960s and show what happened before the original show's story. For what it's worth, Chief Inspector ran from 1971 to 1989, and the 18 years of airing led the show to score 70 percent ratings.

Lee Je Hoon will play the role of the young chief inspector Park Young Han, who was previously played by Choi Bool Am. His version will be younger and naïve as he suffers from the effects of his fury against the cruel world.
It will also tell the story of his character creating a team of detectives who were introduced in the original show.
More details about the show are yet to be confirmed. But Chief Inspector 1963 would reportedly start filming in the second half of 2023.
Lee Je Hoon Dominates the World With Taxi Driver
While working on the prequel, Lee Je Hoon might also work on the third season of Taxi Driver.
After the show's final episode, it confirmed the new installment of the Kdrama series. A representative for the production team said they would start the discussions with the actors, writers, and director.
It remains unknown whether Lee Je Hoon will still be part of it. But the actor tirelessly expressed his desire to return for another season in his interviews.
In season 2, Lee Je Hoon returned with Bae Yoo Ram, Kim Eui Sung, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Pyo Ye Jin.
