Lazy Town was a show that ended way back in 2014, but it had recently become a meme thanks to Robbie Rotten played by Stefan Karl Stefansson. Bad news is, Stefansson has died of cancer. He was 43-years-old.
According to NME, Stefansson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in 2016, and it even went into remission for a while. Unfortunately, the disease had returned earlier this year, and this time, Stefansson didn't survive it. Stefansson had this to say when he revealed that the cancer had returned:
"It's not until they tell you you're going to die soon that you realize how short life is. Time is the most valuable thing in life because it never comes back. And whether you spend it in the arms of a loved one or alone in a prison cell, life is what you make of it. Dream big."
In Lazy Town, Stefansson played a character named Robbie Rotten who was hell bent on keeping every citizen in the town fat and lazy. He would go up against the hero Sporticus, who would spend the episode trying to get everyone up and about.

A lot of tributes have been coming up online for Stefansson. His co-star Julianna Rose Maurellio (Stephanie) even had this to say about his passing:
