Latest Avengers: Endgame Poster Reflects on the Past

Avengers: Endgame is going to be the culmination of a decade's worth of Marvel stories, so the most recent poster released by Marvel is very fitting. The most recent trailer of Endgame celebrated the past 10 years of Marvel's cinematic universe, so it's really nice to see this poster reflect on the past. Some could say that this adds to the time travel theory (which is still possible) but it also acts as a nice bit of symbolism.

In the poster below, shared by Marvel's Facebook page, we can see the current looks of Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor aka The Big Three. However, if you look at the pond below them, we see the past versions of these characters and realize how much they have changed since their MCU debuts.

Thor had Mjolnir, long-flowing hair, and was meant to replace his father as the eventual King of Asgard. Now, he has Stormbreaker, short hair, and has lost half of his people. Steve Rogers was a skinny kid who got ill a lot but didn't let that stop him from protecting others. Now, he's a super soldier but failed to protect half of the universe from Thanos. Iron Man was able to escape a group of terrorists in a cave with a bunch of scrap. Now he has incredible armor but can't escape the guilt he feels for failing everyone.

So uh, yeah. This poster is awesome.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
