It has been over two years now since the second season’s release, and finally, Laid-Back Camp Season 3 is confirmed to release next year, though it will be animated by a new studio.

Details about the anime’s third season were shared on the official website. There, it was revealed that the previous studio, C-Station, will not return to animate the show.

Instead, the studio behind shows such as Encouragement of Climb and TenSura will be in charge of animation.

Along with this, the show also has new staff members for its third season.

Laid-Back Camp Seasons 1 and 2 were animated by C-Station, the studio behind shows such as Opus Colors and Dragonar Academy.

While the studio has worked on all the anime in the Laid-Back Camp series since it began (including the movie released last year), the show will move on to another studio for Season 3.

The new studio is Eight Bit, a notable studio that’s known for animating Blue Lock.

Along with this announcement, a new visual for the series was released, which you can see here:

This new visual features Nadeshiko Kagamihara and Rin Shima as they set up camp at a site with the iconic Mount Fuji in the background.

It wasn’t revealed why the show changed studios for its next season. But what was revealed are the new staff members for Season 3.

Specifically, Shin Tosaka (of Infinite Stratos 2 fame) is the new director.

Joining Tosaka is series composer Masafumi Sugiura (Uma Musume Pretty Derby) and character designer Hisanori Hashimoto (Attack on Titan).

Even though it’s been over two years since the second season’s release, Laid-Back Camp is still one of the most popular slice-of-life anime right now.

Its continuing popularity is thanks in part to the movie which was released on July 1 last year in Japan.

What also helps is that the manga that it’s based on continues to be serialized in Comic Fuz.

Though there’s no official release date yet, Laid-Back Camp Season 3 is confirmed to return in 2024.

Given that the previous two seasons aired in January during their respective release years, it’s likely that Season 3 will air in January 2024.

As for the three-year gap, this is expected as Seasons 1 and 2 also had a three-year gap between their broadcasts.
