Love Lies Bleeding star Kristen Stewart recently revealed her one specific condition in potentially starring in a Marvel movie.

The Oscar-nominated actress became a household name thanks to her star-making turn in the Twilight franchise. However, since then, she mostly starred in independent films as she prefers to do smaller-scale projects.

Despite her preference for doing independent movies, Stewart is still open to starring in a Marvel movie. However, a certain acclaimed director needs to be involved.

In an interview with the Not Skinny But Fat podcast, Stewart was asked about the prospects of starring in a Marvel movie.

She revealed that she is not interested in doing a Marvel movie unless Barbie director Greta Gerwig is helming the project.

"It sounds like a f****** nightmare, actually, but maybe the world changes. If Greta Gerwig asked me to do a Marvel movie, then I would do it," she said.

Stewart also explained her gripes with big-budget movies and how they are usually made.

"I like big movies because I like people to watch them when I'm in them," she said. "The system would have to change. What ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you can't feel personal at all about it."

Based on her comments, it sounds like Stewart has no interest at all in doing a superhero movie project which is not a surprising comment as evidenced by her heavy preference for independent movies.

While she cited Gerwig as the person who could convince her to do a Marvel movie, it is an unlikely scenario since Gerwig is more interested in doing her own projects and is not eyeing to work for an established franchise like the MCU anytime soon.

Perhaps there will be a time in the future when Stewart and Gerwig will get the appeal of being involved in a Marvel project. However, for now, that won't be the case anytime soon.
