Kit Harington Tells Game of Thrones Detractors to 'Go F--k Themselves'

Now that Game of Thrones has officially come to an end, a controversial Kit Harington interview about the criticism towards Season 8 has been gaining traction yet again.

The final season of the HBO juggernaut has been polarizing, to say the least. There has been so much backlash and there's no better encapsulation of it all than an online petition to remake the final season racking up more than one million signatures.

A lot of fans believe that the Jon Snow actor himself isn't very happy about how Game of Thrones ultimately ended. This is on the basis of one interview where he describes Season 8 as "disappointing."

In a feature interview on Esquire last month, however, Harington didn't mince words when talking about the vocal critics of the show. He admitted that he does not care for the harsh reactions knowing the hard work that went into creating the final season.

"How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant. I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season — and I don't mean to sound mean about critics here — but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgment on it, in my head they can go f--k themselves," he said.

"Cause I know how much work was put into this. I know how much people cared about this. I know how much pressure people put on themselves and I know how many sleepless nights working or otherwise people had on this show. Because they cared about it so much. Because they cared about the characters. Because they cared about the story. Because they cared about not letting people down," he went on to say.

Harington said that "I don't give a f--k" if people weren't happy about how Game of Thrones Season 8 went down "because everyone tried their hardest." The actor added at the end of the day, there are no bigger fans of the show than them and that they are "kind of doing it" for themselves. He concluded that he is simply happy that the show got to the end.
