Kingsman Prequel: Daniel Bruhl and Charles Dance Cast, Rhys Ifans in Talks

Though a third Kingsman film with Eggsy (Taron Egerton) is still in the works, it's been confirmed that a prequel is also being made, and it will follow how the original Kingsman organization was formed. The movie currently has Ralph Fiennes and Harris Dickinson attached, and thanks to Collider, we may have a list of new cast members.

According to the site Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) and Daniel Bruhl (Captain America: Civil War) have been cast in the Kingsman prequel. Rhys Ifans (The Amazing Spider-Man) is also said to be in talks to join the film.

Ifans is said to be in talks to play some kind of Russian mystic, while the roles of Dance and Bruhl are still being kept under wraps.

With The Golden Circle having a star-studded cast which included the likes of Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, and Channing Tatum, director Matthew Vaughn is said to be looking for actors based on their abilities instead; make of that what you will, but the works of Dance, Bruhl, and Ifans speak for themselves.

It's said that this Kingsman prequel is more of a period drama and will focus on a character named Conrad (Dickinson) who is a "charming young hero who's eager to serve his country and fight in World War I." I'm guessing he will be the ‘King Arthur' of old Kingsman with Ralph Fiennes acting as his ‘Merlin'. With that in mind, I have a feeling this franchise is going to try and complete the roundtable of knights from the classic tale.

The Kingsman prequel is set to hit theaters Nov. 9, 2019.
